As Liverpool has only had a light dusting of the white stuff so far this winter, I’ve been slightly dubious of the claims of chaos caused by heavy snow around the rest of the country. Having headed into the Lake District earlier in the week I now no longer doubt those reports.
Having already scoped out a couple of locations that I wanted to photograph thanks to the wonders of Google Earth, the road I actually wanted to go down was impassable. In fact, driving around icy narrow country roads in the dark was hairy enough. Fortunately, as sunrise approached, I found a suitable place to leave the car & head down to the lakeside.
